Siapakah Tambon Prasert?
Ia adalah seorang politisi setempat yang tinggal di Distrik Phromnee, Provinsi Nakorn Nayok. Ia juga seorang pengusaha konstruksi yang sukses di negeri yang dijuluki Gajah Putih itu.
Belum lama ini, Prasert mengundang berbagai media ke rumahnya untuk mengkonfirmasikan kepemimpinannya di Distrik Phromnee.

“Saya memiliki 120 isteri dan 28 anak lelaki dan anak perempuan,” ujar Tambon Prasert tanpa ragu.
Politisi itu bercerita bahwa dirinya kali pertama menikah pada usia 17 tahun dengan seorang wanita yang lebih muda setahun atau dua tahun dari dirinya.
Dari pernikahan pertama itu ia memiliki 3 anak.
“Sejak itu aku mulai menikahi wanita-wanita lainnya. Kebanyakan dari wanita itu berusia dibawah 20 tahun. Aku tidak suka denganwanita yang lebih tua dari itu karena mereka terlalu banyak berargumen,” kata Prasert.
Semakin ia dewasa dan membuat bisnis kontruksi, Prasert pun mengembangkan kebiasaannya yang tidak umum.
Ia selalu menikahi wanita di setiap daerah dimana ia membangun sebuah rumah.
“Aku adalah seorang kontraktor bangunan, dimanapun aku membangun sebuah rumah aku pun punya isteri di sana. Aku mencintai mereka semua, dan mereka semua juga mencintai aku,” akunya pada Daily News.

Setiap kali akan mengambil isteri baru, ia selalu menginformasikan bahwa dirinya telah beristeri banyak.
Bahkan ia juga bilang kalau masih ada rencana untuk menikah lagi. Anehnya, parawanita yang akan dinikahi tetap menerimanya.
Sekitar 22 isterinya tinggal di dekat rumahnya di Distrik Phromnee. Para isteri lainnya tinggal menyebar di berbagai daerah di Thailand.
Ia menambahkan, setiap kali bilang ‘Aku punya isteri baru OK’, tidak ada satupun isteri yang lain mempermasalahkannya. Mereka menerima semua situasi itu dan tidak pernah membantah apapun.
“Aku menghormati mereka semua. Dalam beberapa kasus aku meminta izin pada orangtua untuk menikah sesuai kebiasaan dan tradisi. Semua keperluan pernikahan diatur dalam seremonial,” lanjut ceritanya.
Bagi Tambon Prasert, tidak ada masalah dalam mengurus 120 isteri dan 28 anaknya. Ia selalu menyediakan segala hal yang dibutuhkan oleh keluarganya yang banyak itu.
Bila ada isterinya yang tidak memiliki rumah, maka ia akan membangunkan sebuah rumah untuk mereka sendiri. Ia juga membelikan tanah dan segala hal yang mereka inginkan, sehingga semua isterinya jadi senang.
